Investing in Caregiver Well-Being to Support Student Success
The Parent Support Program strengthens student outcomes by addressing caregiver mental health as a critical upstream driver of student well-being and school stability. By funding time-limited, clinical mental health services for parents and caregivers whose children have experienced trauma, the program mitigates family-level stressors that contribute to absenteeism, behavioral escalation, and academic disruption. Access is coordinated through school-based Family Liaisons, ensuring equitable referral pathways, alignment with existing student support systems, and accountability for service delivery and impact.
