Meal Modifications for Medical Needs

The Food & Nutrition Services Department allows the public to view which menu items contain the 9 Major Food Allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame).

To view the allergen information go to Nutrislice Menus and select a school. Select a specific day on the calendar menu and on the left hand side of the page click on 'Allergens'. Select which allergen you would like to view. The menu items that contain the selected allergens will be crossed out with a red line.

USDA regulations 7 CFR Part 15b allows RFSD to make modifications to the menu plan if your student has a food allergy or intolerance that rises to the level of being a "major life activity". A student with a disability may be provided substitutions in foods.

If your student has a medical diagnosis or allergy that affects the food they can eat, use the “Medical Statement for Meal Modification” form below. Have a recognized medical provider complete the form and send it to your student's school nurse or to the District Dietitian at omaese@rfschools.com so RFSD Food & Nutrition Services can accommodate your student’s needs. For questions, call the District Dietitian at 970-384-6007
